Vannevar Bush was an American electrical engineer and science administrator who lived from 1890 to 1974, known for his work on analog computing. He played a political role in the development of the atomic bomb as a primary organizer of the Manhattan Project, founded Raytheon, and conceived the memex, an adjustable microfilm viewer somewhat analogous to the structure of the World Wide Web.
