Xu Bing

Xu Bing is a Chinese artist known for his printmaking skills, installation art, and innovative use of language and text in his work. He served as vice-president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and was an A.D. White Professor-at-Large at Cornell University. He was awarded the MacArthur Fellows Program in 1999 and the Fukuoka Prize in 2003. Xu Bing was born in 1955.
