About “The Blue Star”
The Blue Star is a fantasy novel by American writer Fletcher Pratt, the second of his two major fantasy works. It was first published in 1952 as part of the anthology Witches Three, which also included works by Fritz Leiber and James Blish. The novel was later released as a stand-alone paperback in May 1969 by Ballantine Books, marking the first volume of the Ballantine Adult Fantasy series. An introduction was added for the Ballantine edition by Lin Carter. The book was reprinted in 1975 and 1981. It has also been translated into French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
