About “The Gods of Mars”
John Carter returns to Barsoom and arrives in the Valley Dor, the supposed afterlife paradise from which no Martian ever comes back. He soon discovers the holy pilgrimage is a deadly fraud, and his attempt to expose the truth pits him against entrenched religious powers while the fate of those he loves hangs in the balance.
