About “A Drama in the Air”

"A Drama in the Air" is an adventure short story by Jules Verne. It was first published in August 1851 in Musée des familles under the title "Science for families. A Voyage in a Balloon," accompanied by five illustrations by Alexandre de Bar. In 1874, the story was included in Doctor Ox, the only collection of Verne's short stories published during his lifetime. It was also published with six illustrations by Émile-Antoine Bayard.
