A Time of Gifts (1977) is a travel memoir by British author Patrick Leigh Fermor, published by John Murray when he was 62. It recounts the first part of his journey on foot across Europe from the Hook of Holland to Constantinople in 1933/34. The book is based on his experiences during a walk from the Hook of Holland to Budapest when he was 18.
