About “Airframe”

Airframe is a 1996 novel by Michael Crichton, his eleventh book under his own name and twenty-first overall. Published first in hardcover by Knopf and later as a paperback by Ballantine Books. The story centers on Casey Singleton, a quality assurance vice president at the fictional Norton Aircraft. She investigates an in-flight accident involving a Norton-manufactured airliner that resulted in three deaths and 56 injuries. The novel explores the technical and corporate challenges involved in determining the cause of the crash.
