About “Amerika”

Amerika, originally titled Der Verschollene by Franz Kafka, is the story of young Karl Rossmann, who is banished by his parents to America after an incident involving a housemaid. He travels to the United States accompanied by two comic-sinister companions, where he experiences a series of misadventures and eventually heads toward Oklahoma, drawn by the prospect of a career in the theater.
