About “Amok”
Amok is a novella written by the Austrian author Stefan Zweig. It was first published in 1922 in the newspaper Neue Freie Presse and later included in the collection Amok: Novellas of a Passion. The story contains psychoanalytic elements, reflecting Zweig's fascination with Sigmund Freud's theories.
