About “Art-Language”
Art-Language: The Journal of Conceptual Art (1969–1985) was a magazine created by the conceptual art group Art & Language. It involved more than 20 artists from the United States, Europe, and Australia. The journal was active for nearly 20 years and is considered one of the largest conceptual artworks. It had a major impact on conceptual art and contemporary art. Lucy R. Lippard noted that while she did not fully understand the journal's content, she appreciated its investigative approach, dedication to developing a meaningful language for discussing art, and the humor in its writings.
