About “Captains of the Sands”
Captains of the Sands (1937) follows a gang of orphans and runaways in Brazil who call themselves 'Captains of the Sands' and live by their wits in the slums and back alleys of Bahia. Led by fifteen-year-old 'Bullet' and including 'Legless,' 'Professor,' and 'Cat,' they pull off heists against the privileged, until public outcry demands their capture.
