About “Crave”
Crave is a one-act play written by British playwright Sarah Kane. It was first performed in 1998 by the theatre company Paines Plough, during Kane's year as writer-in-residence. The play was presented under the pseudonym Marie Kelvedon. Kane used this name to prevent her previous works, known for graphic staged violence, from influencing the audience's perception of Crave. The play was her fourth work and is dedicated to Mark Ravenhill. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
