About “Dear John”
John, a high school dropout, joins the Army without a clear future. While serving, he meets Savannah, and the two fall in love. She waits for him to return. After 9/11, John feels compelled to re-enlist. During their long separation, Savannah falls in love again and marries another man. The story follows their lives and the choices that separate them.
