About “Dinner at Eight”
Dinner at Eight is a 1932 American play written by George S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber. The story follows the Jordan family as they prepare for a society dinner, along with their friends and acquaintances, each facing personal challenges and ambitions. A film adaptation was later released, and Mentone Productions created a spoof titled Supper at Six. The play was revived several times, and a made-for-TV movie and an opera were also produced.
