About “Epistulae morales ad Lucilium”
Epistulae Morales ad Lucilium, also known as the Moral Epistles and Letters from a Stoic, is a collection of 124 letters written by Seneca the Younger in the final years of his life. These letters were written during his retirement, after he had served as an advisor to Emperor Nero for over a decade. The letters are addressed to Lucilius Junior, a Roman official who was the procurator of Sicily. Lucilius is known almost exclusively through Seneca's writings. The collection offers philosophical reflections and moral guidance, reflecting Seneca's Stoic beliefs. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
