About “Even money”
Ned Talbot, a bookmaker who has taken over his family's business, experiences a sudden upheaval when a man claiming to be his father approaches him during Royal Ascot. Shortly after, the man is stabbed in the Ascot parking lot and warns Ned to "be very careful," thrusting Ned into a dangerous investigation to uncover the truth behind his father's identity and the threat against him.
