About “Genetic Studies of Genius”
The Genetic Studies of Genius, later called the Terman Study of the Gifted, is the oldest and longest-running longitudinal study in psychology. It began in 1921 at Stanford University under the direction of Lewis Terman. The study aimed to explore how gifted children develop and what characteristics they exhibit as they grow into adulthood. Terman sought to understand the long-term outcomes of high intelligence through detailed observation and analysis. The research was conducted by Lewis M. Terman.
