About “Hercules at the crossroads”
Hercules at the crossroads, also known as the Choice of Hercules and the Judgement of Hercules, is an ancient Greek parable attributed to Prodicus and mentioned by Xenophon. It tells the story of the young Heracles, who is presented with a choice between a life of pleasure, represented by Vice, and a life of hardship and honor, represented by Virtue.
