History of a Voyage to the Land of Brazil, Also Called America is a 1578 book written by the French Huguenot Jean de Léry. It details his time living in a Calvinist colony in Guanabara Bay, near present-day Rio de Janeiro. The colony eventually failed, and de Léry spent two months living with the Tupinambá people.
