About “Idyllen aus Messina”
Idylls from Messina is a collection of eight idylls written by Friedrich Nietzsche. The poems were composed during his stay in Sicily in the spring of 1882, after he arrived from Genoa. Nietzsche remained in Sicily for three weeks while working on the pieces. The collection reflects his experiences and observations during this brief but significant period of his life.
