About “Injil”

Injeel is the Arabic name for the Gospel of Jesus, known as ʿĪsā in Islam. According to the Quran, the Injil is one of four Islamic holy books revealed by Allah, alongside the Zabur, the Tawrat, and the Quran. The term Injil appears in the Quran, hadith, and early Muslim texts to describe both a written book and divine revelations given to Jesus. The Quran states that the revelation was provided in a physical book. From an Islamic perspective, the Injil is seen as a sacred text, though its content and interpretation differ from Christian views. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
