Antiquities of the Jews is a 20-volume historiographical work written in Greek by the Roman-Jewish historian Flavius Josephus in 94 CE, during the 13th year of Emperor Domitian's reign. The work was intended to provide an account of Jewish history for Josephus's gentile audience. The first ten volumes cover events from the creation of Adam and Eve through the Hebrew Bible, presenting a chronological narrative of the Jewish people's history.
