About “Jiu guo”
When special investigator Ding Gou'er investigates rumors of cannibalism in the province called the Republic of Wine, he travels to the Mount Luo Coal Mine and encounters Diamond Jin, known for his ability to drink heavily and his taste for young human flesh. During a banquet, the investigator becomes intoxicated and loses all sense of reality, while stories sent by Li Yidou (aka Doctor of Liquor Studies) are interspersed throughout the narrative.
