About “Jurjani Definitions”
A book called Al Taʿrīfāt was written by Ali ibn Mohammed al-Jurjani, a philosopher, astronomer, theologian, and linguist who lived from 1339 to 1414. The book provides approximately 2100 definitions of key Arabic terms related to philosophy, logic, science, art, and religion. Each term is presented in a glossary format, with a brief explanation.
