About “Leaf Storm”
The novella, first published in 1955 and translated into English in 1972, is set in the fictional town of Macondo. This town later appears in Garcia Marquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude. Many characters and themes from that later work originated in this novella. It is important to note that this is not the same as the short story collection with the same title.
