About “Life After Life”
Life After Life is a 1975 book by psychiatrist Raymond Moody. It is based on a qualitative study in which Moody interviewed 150 individuals who had near-death experiences. The book outlines common elements reported by these individuals. These include a feeling of peace and well-being, the sensation of being outside one’s body, moving through darkness or a tunnel, encountering a golden light, meeting a being of light, reliving past memories, and experiencing a beautiful other world. Moody compiled these accounts into a composite description of the near-death experience. The work is considered a foundational text in the study of NDEs.
