About “Murder at the ABA”

Murder at the ABA (1976) is a mystery novel by Isaac Asimov. The story follows Darius Just, an amateur detective and writer. Asimov based the character on his friend Harlan Ellison. While attending a convention of the American Booksellers Association, Just finds the body of a friend and protégé. He believes the death was a murder but cannot convince the police. As a result, he takes the investigation into his own hands. The novel is set within the context of a booksellers' convention and explores themes of mystery and personal responsibility.
