My Secret History is the story of Andre Parent, a writer and world traveler, whose life is marked by a series of sexual encounters and a double life. The narrative begins with his experiences as a Massachusetts altar boy and continues through his time as a teenaged lifeguard, his travels in Africa, and his later life as a famous writer and husband, during which he maintains a secret life that threatens his sense of self.
