About “Nova Atlantis”

New Atlantis is an incomplete utopian novel by Sir Francis Bacon, published in 1626 after his death. It was included in a larger work called Sylva sylvarum. The novel presents a vision of a future society based on knowledge and discovery. It describes a fictional place called Bensalem, where people value generosity, enlightenment, dignity, and public spirit. Bacon also imagined a research institution called Salomon's House, which reflected his ideas for a modern university focused on both practical and theoretical science.
