About “O Armatolos”
"O Armatolos" is a poem written by the 19th-century poet Grigor Parlichev. It was composed in 1860 and published on 25 March of that year. The poem was submitted to a competition at Athens University for the best Greek language poetry. It won first place. Parlichev regarded the poem as his greatest achievement.
