About “Orlando furioso”
Orlando furioso is an Italian epic poem written by Ludovico Ariosto. It was first published in 1516, but the complete version did not appear until 1532. The poem continues the story of Orlando innamorato by Matteo Maria Boiardo. It is set in a historical context and includes characters similar to those in La Chanson de Roland, a French work from the 11th century.
