Philosophy of the Unconscious: Speculative Results According to the Induction Method of the Physical Sciences is an 1869 book by Karl Robert Eduard von Hartmann. It represents the culmination of German Romantic philosophy from the first two-thirds of the 19th century. The book became well-known, with nine editions published by 1882. A three-volume English translation was released in 1884 and spans more than 1100 pages. The work had an influence on the theories of the unconscious developed by Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung.
