About “Quest for the Future”
This novel-length version, expanded from an earlier story, first appeared in 1970. It centers on film technology: once an image is exposed onto celluloid or a similar material, it cannot be changed or reversed for the life of the material until it decomposes. When an image is found to have changed, the discoverer traces the film to the distributor it was rented from, a discovery that leads him into the future.
