About “Red is for murder”

Linell Wynn, who writes sign copy for Cunninghams', experiences a sense of unease in the department store after hours, which turns into a confrontation with murder when she encounters a killing at dusk. She faces a second encounter with death, during which ordinary objects and situations take on a strange and unnatural quality, leaving her in a state of terror as she confronts the threat directly.
