About “Sentencoj”
The Book of Proverbs is the second book in the third section of the Hebrew Bible and a part of the Christian Old Testament. It is traditionally attributed to King Solomon and his students. The book was translated into Greek and Latin, where it received different titles. In the Greek Septuagint, it was called Παροιμίαι, and in the Latin Vulgate, it was named Proverbia, from which the English title is derived. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
