About “Sweet and Low”

When banker John Putnam Thatcher becomes involved with the Dreyer Company, he finds himself entangled in a mystery after the company's commodity expert is murdered on the floor of the New York Cocoa Exchange. As speculators and candy jobbers question the company's internal affairs, Thatcher navigates plummeting cocoa futures, a television documentary, and the presence of two reluctant Italian industrialists while seeking the clue that reveals who has been manipulating events behind the scenes.
