About “The age of longing”

Described as Koestler's fifth work of fiction and probably his most moving since Darkness at Noon, this novel is in some ways more ambitious. It deals with the Bolshevik mind alongside a number of other conditioned minds, including the democratic, French, religious, literary, apostate, and American, with widely varying degrees of success.
