About “The concept of mind”
The Concept of Mind is a 1949 book by philosopher Gilbert Ryle, in which he argues that "mind" is a philosophical illusion originating chiefly from René Descartes and sustained by logical errors and 'category mistakes' that have become habitual. It introduced the 'ghost in the machine' critique and the knowing-how/knowing-that distinction, later foundational to Peter Naur's theory of programming.
