About “The Corinthian”

Sir Richard Wyndham, a notable whip and Corinthian, considers a loveless marriage when he encounters Penelope Creed, a young woman fleeing London in boy's clothing to avoid an unwanted union with her repulsive cousin. He offers to protect her during her flight across the countryside, where they face dangers including a stagecoach overturn, thieves, and a murder investigation, ultimately becoming drawn together by circumstance and emotion.
