About “The Council of Justice”

The Council of Justice is a novel centered on the Four Just Men, a group of wealthy gentlemen who administer justice outside the law, as they confront The Red Hundred, an anarchist organization led by a woman known as the Woman of Gratz. After the Four Just Men eliminate key leaders of The Red Hundred, one of their members, Manfred, is captured and sentenced to death, though his calm demeanor before execution suggests he possesses knowledge not shared with the authorities.
