About “The Feast of the Goat”

A historical novel set in the last days of General Rafael Leonidas Trujillo in the Dominican Republic in 1961. She visits her dying father, a senator in the Trujillo regime, while the narrative reconstructs the end of Trujillo's rule. The novel includes historical figures such as Joaquín Balaguer and explores the cruelty of power and human evil.
