About “The Great Divorce”

In this allegorical tale, the narrator finds himself in Hell boarding a bus bound for Heaven, where anyone who wants to stay in Heaven can. C.S. Lewis uses this premise for a meditation on good and evil, grace and judgment, built around the idea that the gates of Hell are locked from the inside.
