About “The Guilty Mother”
The Guilty Mother, subtitled The Other Tartuffe, is a drame moral and the third play in the Figaro trilogy by Pierre Beaumarchais. The trilogy includes The Barber of Seville and The Marriage of Figaro. The play was adapted into an operatic form but has not become part of the general opera repertoire.
