About “The Hour of the Dragon”
The Hour of the Dragon, also known as Conan the Conqueror, is a fantasy novel by Robert E. Howard, featuring the character Conan the Cimmerian. It was one of the last Conan stories published before Howard's death, though not the last written. The story first appeared in serial form in Weird Tales from December 1935 to April 1936. The first book edition was published by Gnome Press in 1950 under the title Conan the Conqueror. This title remained in subsequent editions until 1977, when The Hour of the Dragon was restored as the title in a Berkley/Putnam edition.
