About “The Human Factor”

Maurice Castle works in the low-key but dangerous world of "the firm," performing routine intelligence tasks. A new security chief, referred to as "a broom," is appointed and begins cleaning out the department. He discovers a significant leak involving betrayal by major powers in South Africa. Castle's associate, Davis, is suspected due to his access to sensitive files and his personal vices—drinking, gambling, and romanticism. Castle himself is considered trustworthy because he has always been careful. However, his involvement is called into question when he falls in love.
