About “The One I Love”
The One I Love is a romantic, slice-of-life shōjo manga by Clamp, an all-female manga artist team. It was published as a monthly serial in Monthly Young Rose from December 1993 to June 1995. The work consists of twelve independent stories, each exploring different aspects of love. Each story is accompanied by an essay written by Nanase Ohkawa, while Tsubaki Nekoi provided the illustrations. This was Nekoi’s first time primarily illustrating a Clamp manga. The stories draw from the artists’ personal experiences and conversations with friends. The series was later collected into a bound volume by Kadokawa Shoten and released in July 1995.
