About “Toomai of the elephants”
"Toomai of the Elephants" is a short story by Rudyard Kipling. It follows a young elephant-handler and was first published in the December 1893 issue of St. Nicholas magazine. The story was later included in The Jungle Book, a collection of Kipling's short stories published in 1894. The character Petersen Sahib is believed to be based on George P.
