About “Tractatus Politicus”
Tractatus Politicus (Political Treatise) was the last and incomplete work written by Baruch Spinoza. It was composed between 1675 and 1677 and published after his death in 1677. The subtitle of the treatise translates to "In which it is demonstrated how a society, where a monarchy holds power, as well as one where the best rule, should be established, so that it does not fall into tyranny, and that the peace and freedom of citizens remain untouched."
