About “Vikramarjuna Vijaya”
Vikramarjuna Vijaya, also known as Pampa Bharatha, is a 10th-century Jain literary work written by the poet Pampa in Kannada. It is a Jain adaptation of the Mahabharata, with Arjuna from the Pandava clan as its central character. Unlike the original Mahabharata, this version presents Arjuna as the ruler and Subhadra as the queen following the Kurukshetra war, rather than Yudhishthira and Draupadi. The work reflects the religious and cultural context of Jainism and is considered an important classic in Kannada literature. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
