About “The Dare”

Hoping college would be her chance to get over her ugly-duckling complex, the narrator instead ends up in a sorority of mean girls and can't refuse their dare: seduce Conor Edwards, the hottest hockey player in the junior class and a regular in Greek Row beds. Rather than rejecting her, Conor lets her pretend they are involved, and then wants to keep pretending, turning a silly ruse into a real risk of blowing up in her face.
